As a new expat in Toulouse, France's "pink city", I relied on the support of a Lebanese network to quickly adapt. I was privileged to get to meet some of the most active members of the association Amis du Liban - Toulouse who do an excellent job connecting and supporting the community while also engaging in local activities and the local culture.

Meanwhile, there is no shortage of Lebanese professionals and businesses, particularly (you guessed it!) restaurants in Toulouse. Who of us does not crave a good Shawarma or look for a Lebanese professional to help navigate the system quicker. Historical Bonus:

A historical link between Lebanon and Toulouse may appear through Raymond IV a Count of Toulouse who became known as the Count of Tripoli in Lebanon. His role in establishing the Crusader state of Tripoli suggests a strong connection to the region.
